IMPERIAL, CA (4/2/22) In game two of a Saturday double header, IVC Baseball had just about everything go their way. The bats came alive in the early innings when Imperial put up 11 runs through the first three innings. Early offense combined with a strong performance by right handed starter Michael Soto saw IVC up 11-2 after three complete. Grossmont would work to mount a comback in the middle innings putting up two runs in the fifth inning and a single run in each of the sixth and seventh inning to cut the lead to 7-11. Neither team scored in the 8th or 9th inning and the final for the day was 7-11 in favor of IVC.

Leading the way on the offensive side of the ball was shortstop Roberto Gonzalez. Gonzalez drove in the first run of the game and came around to score helping Imperial put up four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Gonzalez finished game two of the double header collecting two hits and walking twice while scoring three times. Carlos Camacho contributed to IVC's strong offensive performance with two knocks and coming around to score twice.
